Relationship Therapy

Relationships are at the core of human experience, offering a source of deep fulfilment, companionship, and support. However, as beautiful as they can be, they are not without their challenges. No matter how strong their bond is, every couple encounters difficulties at some point in their journey together.  Relationship therapy can play a crucial role in helping you navigate the complexities of your partnerships.

I can provide a safe and confidential space for you to explore your issues, express your feelings, and work together to find constructive solutions. I work with all couples of all kinds, including married couples, cohabiting couples, LGBTQ+ couples, and those in non-traditional relationships.

Common Reasons for Seeking Relationship Therapy

  • Communication Challenges: Effective communication is the cornerstone of a healthy relationship. Therapy can help you improve your communication skills, learn to express your needs, and actively listen to one another.

  • Conflict Resolution: All couples encounter conflicts, but the way these issues are addressed can make or break a relationship. Therapy aims to equip you with conflict resolution tools to handle disagreements more constructively.

  • Intimacy and Connection: Over time, couples and partnerships may experience decreased emotional or physical intimacy. We can explore this and work on ways to help you reconnect and rebuild your intimacy.

  • Infidelity and Trust Issues: Working through affairs and betrayals of trust can be hard for a couple to deal with alone. Therapy can provide a safe space to explore the underlying causes and work towards healing and rebuilding trust.

  • Life Transitions: Major life changes such as parenthood, job changes, retirement, or relocation can strain a relationship. We can work together to help you navigate these transitions and adapt to new circumstances.

  • Sexual Issues: Sexual problems, such as differing desires or dysfunctions, can be addressed in a sensitive and supportive manner.

  • Deepening Relationship: Relationships and people need to grow and mature, and working through these changes whilst not being in crisis through therapy can provide a safe space within which to do this work.

  • Non-traditional Relationships: Thinking about opening up your relationship and navigating ethical non-monogamy and polyamorous relationships requires respect and good communication. I can provide a safe space in which to explore these topics and help you build the relationship you desire.
